Why You Should Be Yourself?

Image
Comparisons Shweta covered a distance of 8 km in one hour. Neha covered the same distance in one and a half hours. Which of the two is faster and healthier?? Of course our answer will be Shweta. What if we say that Shweta covered this distance on a prepared track while Neha did it on a sandy path??? Then our answer will be Neha.  But when we come to know that Shweta is 25 years old while Neha is 50 years old?? Then our answer will be Shweta again. But we also come to know that Neha's weight is 100 kg while Shweta's weight is 65 kg. Again our answer will be Neha As we learn more about Neha and Shweta, our opinions and judgements about who is better will change. The reality of life is also similar. We form opinions very superficially and hastily, due to which we are not able to do justice to ourselves and others.     Opportunities vary.  Life is different.  Resources differ.  Problems change. Solutions are different. Therefore, the excellence of life is not i...

What is Success?

Walking in wholeness with the soul is a true demonstration of success Success comes as the by-product of a life lived from the inside out. The key to living a successful life is grasping the awareness that you are enough. Once you understand you are enough, you create the space within your consciousness that allows you to realign harmoniously with your essential self or highest good. Success Is Wholeness One of the early pioneers of spiritual psychology, Carl Jung, suggested our psyche, or soul, consists of three specific parts: the persona, the ego, and the essential self. The persona is the aspect of ourselves we wish to present to the world. The ego is the “I,” or the personality. It is the aspect of ourselves we believe ourselves to be. These two are highly powerful and can cause us to believe in the illusion of failure when they are out of alignment with the third aspect of our soul, our essential self, or “God Self.” If we allow ourselves to be moved by the world of effects, ou...

All about Entrepreneurship!!

Image
“Entrepreneurship is an activity that involves putting one’s own resources at risk to create a business or create something that is intended to have business application.” This definition encompasses what I view as the key risk taking, economic and practical elements of entrepreneurship: First, putting one’s own resources at risk. An entrepreneur is a person who invests their own funds and often a significant amount of their own funds in his or her own commercial venture. You are taking your economic chips and betting those economic chips on you, your vision and your ability to make that vision a profitable reality. The CEO of a company who is being paid a salary and directs the creation of a new business venture or new business unit is not an entrepreneur. Why? The shareholders of the company rather than the CEO are bearing the economic risk of the venture. The inventor who invents a time machine that is financed 100% by venture capital investors is not an entrepreneur. Why? H...

How is Life At IIT?

Image
The best part of life about life at IIT's isn't about lucrative placements which all media channels brag about once a year and neither it's about the "cloud 9" feeling when you're introduced as an IITian first. The most exciting part of IIT life (and in a way one of the most important) is the ecosystem where you spend your 4/5 years. **Ecosystem** = Students + Professors/Curriculum + Campuses + Misc. (Misc will be taken at last) *Students* Okay JEE does has some serious issues but at the end of the day what it does is that it brings out a whole different breed of homo sapiens coming from some parts of India you never knew and talking on phones in languages you never heard. The fact that India is such a huge country + the fact that 8 out of 10 engineering aspirant sits for the JEE (now may be JEE Advanced),  every single room in IIT's hostel has a story/facts/food/movies which if explored in a true sense would take your complete 1 year . Enter the second y...
